If this was too quick :-) please read on. For SyncIt synchronization setup click here

Getting started with linkaGoGo

In the next steps we will get you started by setting up an account, guide you through populating your account with favorites and bookmarks, optimize your browser settings and customize your linkaGoGo preferences. If you get lost while going through these steps clicking on Home (See bottom right or top left of the page) will always bring you back to this page.

  1. Add Bookmarks and Favorites
  2. After your created your account you can add your own bookmarks and favorites. If you would like a quickstart and load the bookmarks or favorites from your browser then use the Import menu Show me how to do this.. You can also use the Add menu to manually add a new link.

Now some of your toolbars should be populated. The toolbar 'Last Added' should contain links now, if you used the Import menu also the 'Last visited' and 'Favorites' toolbars should be updated. If you used the Add menu and marked the link as a favorite; the 'Favorites' toolbar should be updated. If the toolbars are not updated it may indicate that your browser cache settings are not optimized for linkaGoGo, in the next step we will verify these. Note the 'Most Used' toolbar will be populated after we clicked on one of the links.

  3. Create an 'Add to linkaGoGo' shortcut in your browsers toolbar
  4. In step 2 we showed how you can manually add a new link to linkaGoGo. However some manual input was required. By creating an 'Add to linkaGoGo' shortcut to your browsers toolbar, you just have to click this shortcut when a webpage is displayed in your browser's window. A pre-populated 'Add page' will appear. And you just have to click on Ok to add the web page to your linkaGoGo links. For adding this shortcut to your browser's toolbar see option 1 in the Internet Explorer / Netscape / Opera) Client Setup in the Options menu. Show me how to do this.

  5. Create an 'goto linkaGoGo' shortcut in your browsers toolbar
  6. Now you have your links stored in linkaGoGo and use them to surf the web, you may find your yourself quickly wanting to go to linkaGoGo for another link. By creating a shortcut in your browser toolbar to the linkaGoGo website or specify linkaGoGo as you homepage you will have your links always one click away.To add this shortcut to your browser's toolbar see option 2 and option 4 for specifying linkaGoGo as your homepage in the Internet Explorer / Netscape / Opera) Client Setup in the Options menu. Show me how to do this.

  7. Customize the linkaGoGo fontsize
  8. Depending on your browser settings and your screen resolution you may find the size of the font used by linkaGoGo too small or too large. See the Fontsize section in the Options menu. For Internet Explorer and Opera a font-size setting of 'x-small' and 'small' for Netscape give a good balance between readibilty and space for information. Show me how to do this.

  9. Customize the linkaGoGo toolbars
  10. For a new account linkaGoGo always sets up a number of default toolbars like the 'Most Used', 'Recent' and 'Last Added' as horizontal toolbars and 'Favorites' as a vertical toolbar. With the sections horizontal and vertical toolbars in the Options menu you can not only change what standard toolbars you would like to see, but also choose any of your bookmarks / favorites folders as a toolbar. Show me how to do this.

  11. Customize the linkaGoGo homepage
  12. Not only can you display links to websites in linkaGoGo, but you can also show the contents of websites in your linkaGoGo Homepage. You can display images or the webpages itself in linkaGoGo. See the Home page section in the Options menu on how to create your own personal bookmarks / favorites portal. See the following tutorials:
    • Change your linkaGoGo color theme. Show me how to 'Change your linkaGoGo color theme.'
    • Add images to your linkaGoGo home page. Show me how to 'Add images to your linkaGoGo home page.'
    • Add a Newsfeed to your linkaGoGo home page. Show me how to 'Add a Newsfeed to your linkaGoGo home page.'

Find the best keyword

Keyword Tool

Use the Keyword Tool to get new keyword ideas. Select an option below to enter a few descriptive words or phrases, or type in your website's URL. Keyword Tool Tips

Important note: We cannot guarantee that these keywords will improve your campaign performance. We reserve the right to disapprove any keywords you add. You are responsible for the keywords you select and for ensuring that your use of the keywords does not violate any applicable laws.

What are some advanced tips for using the Keyword Tool?

The Keyword Tool is a great way to find new keywords for your ad campaigns. Try using it to:

  • Find keywords based on your site content. Instead of entering your own keywords, try using the Website Content option. It lets you enter the URL of your business website, or of any site related to your business. The AdWords system will then scan your page and then suggest relevant keywords. (This feature is available only in some languages.)

  • Create new, separate ad groups with similar keywords. We recommend creating several ad groups in each campaign, each with a small, narrowly-focused set of similar keywords. Use the Keyword Tool to discover relevant keywords, then divide them into lists of 5 to 20 similar terms. See examples of ad groups promoting a single product or service and multiple products or services.

  • Identify negative keywords. The Keyword Tool can show you off-topic keywords that users may be thinking about. Suppose you sell cut flowers and you give the Keyword Tool the keyword 'flowers.' It may suggest the related term 'gardens,' and you may want to add that term to your ad group as a negative keyword. That will keep your ad from showing on searches for 'flower gardens' or similar terms. This helps make sure only interested customers see your ads.

  • Find synonyms - or not. The Use synonyms box in the Descriptive words or phrases option is always checked by default. (This means it might suggest 'bed and breakfast' as a synonym for the keyword 'hotel.') If you uncheck the box, the tool will suggest only keywords that contain at least one of the terms that you entered.

  • Specify a language and location. If you're using the Keyword Tool while signed in to your account, you may see an option to tailor results to a particular location and language. If you happen to be targeting Spanish speakers who live in France, make sure you set the Keyword Tool to that language and location.

  • Start broad and then get specific. Try broad terms like 'flowers' in the Keyword Tool first. Then try specific terms like 'red roses' or 'miniature cactus.'

Need more in-depth ideas? Try the Search-based Keyword Tool. While it shares some features with the Keyword Tool, the Search-based Keyword Tool displays a list of relevant user queries that have occurred on Google.com (and on other Google search properties), based on your URL. Additionally, the Search-based Keyword Tool provides more detailed data for each keyword, such as category information, suggested bid that may place the ad in the top three spots of a search results page, and Ad/Search share. 21 Social Media Sites You Must Use

The fifth part of Bullet Proof Blogging takes a look at what social media sites you should use if your trying to increase traffic to your blog. There are a massive array of social media websites that are now available however there are still the top bunch which bring in the largest amounts of traffic.

  1. Stumble Upon - A social media site that I use quite regularly, I have seen massive benefits in using this social media website for networking as well as increasing traffic. You can also add me as a friend here.
  2. Delicious - Delicious is a great social bookmarking website which allows you to bookmark your favourite websites or web pages.
  3. Digg - Digg allows you to submit your own news stories, web pages or websites so that others can discover yours.
  4. Twitter - Twitter is a slightly different type of social media website which follows the idea of finding out what people are up to. You can use this to network with other Internet marketers as well as advertising your latest blog post or website.
  5. Reddit - Reddit posts user generated links similiar to Digg and works on a voting system where more popular links are those that are voted more.
  6. Plurk - Plurk is a social networking website allowing you to share news/ information with other friends.
  7. Sphinn - Sphinn is a Internet marketing based social media site which focuses specifically in the internet marketing genre.
  8. Mashable - A social media news blog which covers new websites and social networks.
  9. BlogCatalog - Is a social bookmarking directory, it has some great features and is definitely worth a look.
  10. Technorati - User generated content bookmarked and linked through tags and keywords.

  17. Myspace - Similiar to Facebook myspace allows you to communicate to people throughout the world.
  18. Yahoo Bookmarks - Allows you to import bookmarks and organise them into folders.
  19. Google Bookmarks - Similar to Yahoo Bookmarks, you can save and share bookmarks and use web history to find sites that you visit frequently.
  20. MyBlogLog - A networking system that I use frequently, it allows you to add friends, create communitys and promote content as well as plug in with other social networking sites such as Twitter.
  21. Propeller - A news website where you are able to control which articles are at the top and which are at the bottom using a voting system.

These are just a sample of the vast range of social media websites available on the Internet. I advise that you don’t just concentrate on one social media site and instead spread your marketing efforts among 5 or more of these social media sites. I would also advise people to research and check whether or not there are niche social media sites for your market, if so definitely join these ones and take advantage of the more targeted and select few that will be active.

If your looking for ways to use more than one social media website at once then I can recommend two sites these being;

PingFM -This site allows you to post to a wide range of social media sites with a single message.

FriendFeed - Allows you to build up custom feeds for your friends you can also plug this in with Twitter so that it automatically updates your Twitter account aswell.

I hope you enjoyed this article and found the resources useful, please bookmark this page for future reference and share with your friends on any social media site you want.
